This notice applies to the Bao Market pre-launch website and waitlist. It explains the limited personal data used to operate the waitlist and send launch-related communications.
Bao Market is the name of the pre-launch service covered by this notice. Privacy questions and requests can be sent to support@baomarket.app.
1. Data we collect
When you submit the waitlist form, we collect the data listed below. We do not ask for payment details, identity documents, purchase history, or sensitive personal data through this form.
- Your email address, trimmed, converted to lowercase, and used as the unique waitlist record.
- The page path from which you submitted the form, which may indicate the site language or market page you selected.
- The date and time of your consent, the date the record was first created, and the date and time of the latest submission.
- Standard technical request data that hosting and security providers may process automatically, such as an IP address, browser information, and request logs. These technical fields are not deliberately written to the waitlist database by the application.
2. How we use the data
We use waitlist data only for the pre-launch purposes described here.
- To register and maintain your place on the waitlist, prevent duplicate records, and record your latest submission and consent.
- To tell you about closed Android testing, launch availability in relevant markets, and closely related Bao Market launch updates.
- To operate, secure, troubleshoot, and prevent abuse of the website and waitlist form.
- To answer privacy requests and comply with applicable legal obligations.
3. Legal bases
Where data-protection law requires a legal basis, we rely on your consent to keep your waitlist record and send launch communications. You may withdraw that consent at any time. We may also rely on legitimate interests to secure and operate the website, respond to requests, and prevent abuse, provided those interests are not overridden by your rights. We process data when necessary to comply with law or establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
5. International processing
Infrastructure or service providers may process data in countries other than the country where you live. Where applicable law requires it, transfers will use an available legal mechanism and appropriate safeguards. Contact us for information relevant to your request and jurisdiction.
6. Retention and deletion
We keep a waitlist record only while the pre-launch waitlist is active, the launch-related purpose continues, and you remain subscribed. We will delete or anonymise the record when it is no longer needed for that purpose, or after you withdraw consent or request deletion, unless applicable law permits or requires limited retention for compliance, security, or legal claims.
To withdraw consent or request deletion, email support@baomarket.app from the address you submitted. We may ask for reasonable verification before acting on a request. Withdrawal does not affect processing already carried out while consent was valid.
7. Your choices and rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of your personal data, and to complain to your local data-protection authority. You can withdraw marketing consent at any time using an unsubscribe method included in a message or by contacting support@baomarket.app. We do not use waitlist data for solely automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects.
8. Children
The waitlist is not intended for children under 16. If you believe a child has submitted personal data, contact support@baomarket.app so the record can be reviewed and deleted where appropriate.
9. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures intended to protect waitlist data. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
10. Changes and contact
We may update this notice as the service, providers, or legal requirements change. The current version will show its last-updated date. Material changes affecting existing waitlist members will be communicated where required.
